CAN CH Gus-Dustie v.d. Vanenblikhoeve
aka Gus, Friendly Giant and Goose
Gus is our foundation stud dog, imported from Holland. He started his show career in April 2006 and completed his championship in style, taking Best of Breed three out of four days and a Group 3 at the Fraser Valley Dog Fanciers Show in October 2006. Also, worth mentioning is Gus's sister Geske who is the 2006 World Champion Bouvier.
CAN CH Lexus-Penny v. d. Vanenblikhoeve
aka Lexi and Lexi Lou
Lexus is also imported from Holland. She finished her championship in four shows, taking Best Puppy in Group three days in a row and a Group 4. Lexus is by far the smartest dog I've ever had the pleasure to own. I am positive she considers all her options before making a decision.
CAN CH Palay Blazen Max of Breugel
aka Mr. Blaze and Snorten Norton
Blaze is the pick male from Gus X Tazz 2008 Litter. Blaze lives with his co-owners Deb & Larry Bannerman in Calgary. He is currently being handled and shown by Shannon Sheer with much success. Blaze finished his CKC Championship in just 2 shows. His claim to fame thus far is beating the Specials and taking Best of Breed at just 7 months of age. His second show he took Best of Breed again for two consecutive days at 9 months of age.
This ones for you Pat!
BPISS Breugel's Hugo Boss Man
aka Hugo, The Boss and H
Hugo lives on Vancouver Island with his owner's Debra & Scott Bigham. Hugo was the pick male of Gus X Tawny litter of 2007. His claim to fame so far was winning Best Puppy in Specialty Show at the 2008 BC Bouvier des Flandres Specialty handled by Scott. Scott and Hugo are taking a break from the conformation ring and focusing on obedience.
Hugo sired Lexi's second litter and the pair of them produced 7 beautiful puppies. Five boys and two girls.
Palay Abby Tuesday of Breugel
aka Little Miss Abby and Abby Sue
Abby is the pick female from Gus X Tazz 2008 Litter. She is a little holy terror and full of beans. Unfortunately due to my health, I have not been able to show Abby yet. Watch for her debut in the show ring coming soon.
Breugel's Versace Ace
aka Versace and Sace
Versace lives on Vancouver Island with her owners Ida and Bob. Versace was pick female from Gus X Tawny litter of 2007. Sace is just hanging out with her new owners being a puppy. We are watching on the sidelines to see how she turns out. So far she has her dad's sweet disposition and build and her mom's intelligence.
Palay Sweet Dreams - Retired
aka Miss Tawny and Tawn Tawn
Tawny was my very first Bouvier. She is very witty and a little bit of a manipulator. She should have been a retriever as her favourite pastimes are swimming and fetching whatever you will throw for her. I am quite sure she would have swum the Strait of Georgia had I let her. On her first ferry ride, she almost jumped over the railing to go swimming. Luckily I caught her by her collar in mid-air. She was my alpha female and kept all of us in check, that is until Mrs. Tazz came into our lives. Tazz was Pats alpha female. Needless to say, you can only have one alpha female in your home and since I promised Pat I would look after Tazz, I had to re-home Tawny. Miss Tawny now lives the life of Riley with Rob, Pauline & family in Calgary. We all miss you Tawn Tawn!
CAN CH Vanleighof Filly of Palay - Retired
aka Tazz and Tazzy Wazzy
Tazz or should I say Mrs. Tazz came to live with us when her owner Patricia Groome of Palay Perm Reg'd. bequeathed her to me. She is a Canadian champion and has produced some very beautiful puppies in terms of temperament, health and beauty. Miss Tazz is retired focusing her time on bossing the rest of us around.
Our Lone Barbet
Aretha Von Der Leibrucke
aka Coco, Coco Bean and Beannie
Beannie is our Barbet that we imported from Holland. She is highly intelligent, a bundle of laughs and is unbelievable in the way she can manoeuvre obstacles, especially Bouviers. She is by far the most affectionate lap dog we have ever owned. She maybe smaller then our Bouvs but definitely not in personality. She loves to drive our Bouviers crazy when we are out romping in the woods. She loves to run circles around them.
Watch for her debut in the show ring coming soon!
In Loving Memory
Buddy (Sept 2 1993 - Mar 14 2008)
aka Little Man and The Budster
Buddy was our little Bichon/Shih Tzu X that brought so much joy to our lives for fourteen and a half years. He was the little Buddy that could. He should have been a cat as he most definitely had nine lives. Buddy had more health problems then not, including a near fatal bout of pancreatitis, was allergic to everything under the sun: including flea salvia, and most commercial dog foods, he had an enlarged heart, was subject to seizures and survived two strokes and had numerous eye problems including dry eye and blocked tear ducts. Even through all his health problems he was our happy go lucky Buddy. He loved to go for car rides, loved to lie in the sun and enjoyed just hanging out under the coffee table (where the Bouvs would leave him alone). Buddy you're sadly missed and will always be our little Bud.
Roxy (July 25 2003 - August 26 2006)
aka Miss Roxy, Roxy Roller and Roxy Rou
Roxy was my second Bouvier that I purchased locally and she was an absolute joy as a puppy, then at 18 months something went horribly wrong and she became a very unpredictable aggressive dog. After working with a master dog trainer for 18 months and having her extensively health tested we had to do the unthinkable and have her euthanized at the early age of just 3 years old. She was diagnosed with idiopathic aggression and was considered by our master dog trainer "an accident just waiting to happen". Unfortunately, that day came and will forever be etched in my mind. This gut-wrenching experience is the primary reason why I became a Bouvier breeder. I promised myself that I would do whatever it took to produce Bouvier puppies with sound temperament. Roxy Rou you will always be in my heart.
